“At 21 years of age I have the dream and aspiration to become
a Paralympic Gold Medallist, a World Champion, the best possible
athlete that I can be. Support is the foundation that
goals and dreams are built on and I know myself what a difference
support can make. I am proud to be involved with What’s
Up because its goal is supporting young people. By working with
What's Up, I feel that I am helping other young people to set
goals and create new and exciting possibilities like I have.”

Peter Urlich
Peter has been involved with NZ music since his high school days
when he formed the nucleus of legendary rockers, Th' Dudes. As lead
singer in the band, Peter set the scene for a long career in the
entertainment industry . He is also recognised as having pioneered
the dance music scene setting up many influential clubs and bars
through the 80s, via his dance music compilations and then his work
with Nice'n'Urlich. He was involved in the groundbreaking TV show
"Popstars" which created TrueBliss. The famous Groove
in the Park series of outdoor events was his concept. Peter has
always had a love of swing music and lately his new album, "Between
You and Me" and his dine and dance events have been very well
received.
"I decided to get involved with Whats Up when I competed
in Dancing With The Stars and the more I learned about their work
with youngsters, the more it appealed. What's Up is direct, instant
and sensitive assistance given to NZ kids who are having issues
- and who could blame them in these crazy times. It respects their
individuality and place in this world. It's also pre-emptive and
addresses issues hopefully before they go any further. As a father
of two, I am thankful that my boys would be able to use What's
Up if they ever needed to."
